Law & Order: Sept. 28-Oct. 3

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 9-28-18 thru 10-3-18. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.                        

SEPTEMBER 28, Friday: 

2:05 p.m. CCMC requested an ambulance to transport a patient to the airport.

SEPTEMBER 29, Saturday: 

9:06 a.m.  Caller reported they had chased a bear off at least three times and it had killed some of their livestock.  7:15 p.m.  Caller reported a dog barking on fourth street.  An officer responded to the area and notified the owner.        

SEPTEMBER 30, Sunday:

4:43 a.m.  Caller reported her GOPRO camera had been stolen from her vehicle.   

SEPTEMBER 31, Monday:

Nothing to report. 

OCTOBER 1, Tuesday:

9:03 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance.  The ambulance responded to the scene and delivered the patient to CCMC.  3:41 p.m. Caller reported a man passed out in the bathroom at the civic center and he may be drunk.  An officer responded to the scene.

OCTOBER 2, Wednesday:

5:08 p.m. Caller reported an intoxicated individual inside the bathroom at the City Center.  Officer responded and escorted the individual out of the area. 5:30 p.m.  Caller reported a domestic dispute at 6.5-mile Copper River Highway.  Officer responded and arrested Seth Jenson, age 43 of Cordova Alaska, for Assault in the Fourth Degree.  8:18 p.m.  Caller reported an unruly individual at the Alaska Bar.  An officer responded and trespassed the individual from the premise. 8:56 p.m.  Caller stated they left their vehicle unlocked and he found signs that it had been rummaged through.  9:04 p.m. Caller reported their vehicle had been broken into and their camera was stolen.    

OCTOBER 3, Thursday:

Nothing to report.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS:  8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations, and citations.
