London data firm eyes AGDC expenditures

Alaska Gasline Development Corp. has been singled out by a British data firm as the top spender among all oil and gas companies in North America in terms of new build capital expenditure to be spent from 2018 through 2025 on planned and announced projects.

The data and analytics firm GlobalData noted on Jan. 2 that its company report, “Top Oil and Gas Companies Capital Expenditure Outlook for Midstream and Downsteam Segments in North America-Alaska Gasline Development Corp Leads Capex among Companies in Region” reveals that AGDC tops the list with new build capital expenditure of $37.3 billion, followed by Canada Stewart Energy and NextDecade Corp. with capital expenditures of $30.3 billion and $28.4 billion respectively.

According to GlobalData analysts, AGDC has spread its new build capital expenditure for development of two natural gas pipelines, one LNG liquefaction terminal, and one gas processing plant. This will further aid AGDC’s objective of developing infrastructure to move natural gas to local and international markets, according to these analysts.
