Museum Memories

Trains and boats side by side in Cordova – a common sight during the ’20s and ’30s. Here the Copper River and Northwestern Railway cars bring loads of copper ore to the steamship dock near where the Alaska Marine Highway System docks in Cordova today. Alongside the wharf are the fishing vessels belonging to the Carlisle Packing Company.

This memory is brought to you courtesy of the collection from the Cordova Historical Society held in the Museum.
