Law & Order: Jan. 18-24

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 1-18-19 thru 1-24-19. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.                        

JANUARY 18, Friday:

Nothing to report.

JANUARY 19, Saturday:  

4:57 p.m. Caller reported he had fallen and hurt his back. Officer and ambulance responded and the individual was transported to the hospital. 10:29 p.m. Caller reported having breathing problems. An officer and ambulance responded.

JANUARY 20, Sunday:

10:51 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance for an unresponsive friend. Officer and ambulance responded and the individual was transported to the hospital. 7:28 p.m. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Fisherman Ave. An officer was on scene and the owners exchanged insurance information.

JANUARY 21, Monday:

4:27 p.m. An officer assisted a motorist parked on the side of a road.

JANUARY 22, Tuesday: 

6:44 p.m. A fire alarm was reported at CCMC. The fire department responded and found the alarm to be false. 8:27 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle hit the payment box at City Hall. The responsible party called and reported the incident. A case was started for the incident.

JANUARY 23, Wednesday:

9:08 p.m. Caller reported rocks had slid onto Whitshed Road. The city shop responded and moved the rocks off the road. 10:06 p.m. Caller reported a theft from a residence. The case is under investigation.

JANUARY 24, Thursday:  

2:24 p.m. Caller reported an assault. The case is under investigation.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS: From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
