Law & Order: Feb. 8-14

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 2-8-19 thru 2-14-19. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.                     

FEBRUARY 8, Friday:

11:59 a.m. Caller reported her home may have been broken into. An officer responded and found packages had been delivered and the door left open, nothing inside disturbed. 7:19 p.m. Caller reported he had fallen and could not get up. The ambulance responded and assisted the individual. 9:57 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a sick individual. Officer and ambulance responded and transported individual to the hospital.

FEBRUARY 9, Saturday:

Nothing to report.

FEBRUARY 10, Sunday:

5:08 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a friend who dislocated his knee. Ambulance responded.

FEBRUARY 11, Monday:

7:26 a.m. Caller reported a building had been broken into. Officer arrested Darrell Rollins, 46, of Cordova for Criminal Trespass and Violation of the Conditions of his Release.

FEBRUARY 12, Tuesday: 

8:44 a.m. Caller reported a theft. Officer responded and Amy Brockert of Cordova was given a summons to appear in court for shoplifting. 10:53 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check on a friend. The individual was found to have gone to Anchorage.

FEBRUARY 14, Thursday: 

Nothing to report.

NOTES FROM CORDOVA DMV:

DMV HOURS: From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave.  Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
