With 72 remaining ballots left to be counted on March 13, election results are already locked in for mayoral and city council candidates, plus two propositions, which passed with overwhelming support.

By a vote of 341-77 on March 5, voters chose to re-elect incumbent Mayor Clay Koplin over challenger Robert Henrichs.

Tom Bailer, who was running against Stephen Sundby, was elected to fill city council seat A, previously held by James Burton, who is termed out. Preliminary results showed Bailer winning by a 78-vote margin.

Incumbent David Allison ran unopposed for Cordova City Council seat F and, with 306 votes, will serve another regular, three-year term.

City council seat G, previously held by James Wiese, was also unopposed. David Glasen received 368 votes to fill that seat.

Tammy Altermott and Barb Jewell will each serve three-year terms on the School Board.

Ballot proposition 1, a $5 million harbor bond, passed 301 to 120, and Proposition 2, for a 0.5 percent tax on raw fish, also passed 302 to 121.
