The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 3-1-19 thru 3-7-19. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
MARCH 1, Friday:
12:03 p.m. Caller reported her neighbors had been borrowing her items and have been returning the wrong items back to her. Officer responded investigating the situation. 11:26 p.m. Caller reported her neighbor’s vehicle alarm is going off and they have been out of town for a while. Officer responded unable to locate anyone in the area.
MARCH 2, Saturday:
Nothing to report.
MARCH 3, Sunday:
1:57 a.m. Officer conducted a traffic stop on Lake Avenue and arrested Shelby Stoltzfus-Avis, age 26, of Cordova, for DUI.
MARCH 4, Monday:
3:04 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance for his wife with chest pain and feels faint. Ambulance responded transporting the patient to CCMC.
MARCH 5, Tuesday:
8:15 a.m. Caller reported being harassed while driving by an individual who is driving recklessly. Officer responded and as a result, Ryan Labruyere was summoned to appear in Cordova Court on one count of harassment in the second degree and one count of negligent driving. 4:40 p.m. Officer assisted a woman with a flat tire at 10-mile Copper River Highway.
MARCH 6, Wednesday:
5:01 p.m. Caller reported people are in a parking lot feeding eagles. Officer responded unable to locate anyone in the area.
MARCH 7, Thursday:
12:06 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a student with a dislocated joint. Ambulance responded transporting the patient to CCMC.

DMV HOURS: 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. Motorcycle testing is still available, weather permitting. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
