Letter: Disappointed in other campers

For those who don’t know, the Forest Service cabin at Power Creek has an oil stove that replaced the wood stove. I am writing to express my disappointment in the citizen(s) who recently (past couple months) used up almost all of the two gallons of fuel I hiked the four miles out there and left for a return trip.

I put a note on top of the stove that said, “Please don’t use more fuel than you bring, I have left two gallons for a return trip.”

It is very bad character to disregard the effort, time, and money it took to get that fuel out there, as well as where it would have left me if I showed up to camp without heat. Whoever did that ought to be ashamed of themselves.
