The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 4-19-19 thru 5-2-19. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
APRIL 19, Friday:
12:19 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check for their friend. An officer responded to the reported residence and determined that everything was OK.
APRIL 20, Saturday:
Nothing to report.
APRIL 21, Sunday:
2:15 p.m. Caller reported they were assaulted by a family member. An officer responded to the scene.
APRIL 22, Monday:
4:06 p.m. Caller reported an individual who smelled of alcohol had just gotten out of a vehicle and was about to get back in. An officer responded and found the vehicle parked but was unable to locate the suspected driver.
APRIL 23, Tuesday:
Nothing to report.
APRIL 24, Wednesday:
12:53 a.m. Caller reported a domestic dispute at a neighboring home. An officer responded and the parties agreed to separate for the night.
APRIL 25, Thursday:
Nothing to report.
APRIL 26, Friday:
2:44 p.m. Dispatch received a report of a motor vehicle accident. 5:50 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital.
APRIL 27, Saturday:
Nothing to report.
APRIL 28, Sunday:
1:16 a.m. An officer arrested Royce Landeen, age 26 of Cordova, Alaska, for driving while intoxicated. 5:11 p.m. Caller reported that they were being harassed. An officer spoke with the complainant about the incident.
APRIL 29, Monday:
10:25 a.m. Caller requested a welfare check on a minor whose parents may be out of town. An officer responded it was determined that the individual was OK. 1:34 p.m. Caller reported a male walking down the middle of the road on First Street impeding traffic. An officer responded to the area, but the individual had already left the scene.
APRIL 30, Tuesday:
Dispatch received a report of two trailers parked on the Cordova Municipal runway posing a threat to landing aircraft. An officer responded to the location and the trailers where moved by a third party.
MAY 1, Wednesday:
8:46 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported a patient to the hospital. 5:18 p.m. Caller reported their daughter was being sexually harassed. An officer is investigating this report. 8:31 p.m. Caller reported they were being harassed by somebody and they were yelling at them and following them with a vehicle. An officer is currently investigating this report.
MAY 2, Thursday:

DMV HOURS: 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
