U.S. Department of Agriculture officials have awarded a $3.5 million contract to Trident Seafoods for the purchase of 2 million pounds of wild Alaska Pollock, including fillets, for distribution in child nutrition and other related domestic food assistance programs.
The purchase was the result of offers received in response to an April 29 solicitation.
Deliveries are to be made from Sept. 1 through Jan. 31, in Illinois Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, Virginia and Washington state.
