Call for Salmon Jam artists

Cordova Arts has opened up the application process for interested artisans who wish to sell handcrafts at this year’s Copper River Salmon Jam festival set for mid-July.

The two-day salmon-centric event is filled with live music, food, kids’ activities and artisan vendors, and will take place at the base of Mt. Eyak Ski Area from 6 to 9 p.m. on July 12 and 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. on July 13.

For those wishing to sell unique items this year, a $75 booth fee is due upon vendor application acceptance and checks can be made payable to Cordova Arts, PO Box 71, Cordova, AK 99574. The vendor booth fee includes two Salmon Jam weekend passes for the artist and one helper. If you don’t have your own tent, you may indicate on the application that you need one.

Full vendor information and a downloadable application can be found at salmonjam.org. Application deadline is June 29.

Vendors may to set up their booths starting at 3 p.m. July 12.
