The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 6-7-19 thru 6-13-19. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
JUNE 7, Friday:
8:51 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded to their residence and transported the patient to the hospital.
JUNE 8, Saturday:
12:53 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded to their residence and transported the patient to the hospital. 3:47 a.m. CCMC requested an ambulance to transport a patient to the 13-mile airport. 9:44 p.m. Caller reported they were at the landfill and a large brown bear had come between them and their vehicle. An officer and a state trooper were dispatched to respond. Before law enforcement could arrive, the bear had left the area and the caller left without incident.
JUNE 9, Sunday:
4:02 a.m. Caller requested a patrol on 1st St. after they had witnessed a fight break out. An officer patrolled the area. 9 a.m. Caller reported a theft from his residence. An officer took down his information and is currently investigating the incident. 10:19 a.m. Caller reported their neighbor’s dog has continually been attacking her dog. An officer got in contact with the complainant. 8:57 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle driving recklessly out Power Creek Road and found beer cans on the road near the scene. An officer responded to the area and investigated the complaint.
JUNE 10, Monday:
12:27 a.m. Caller reported a man kept trying all the doors at their closed business. An officer patrolled the area, but the suspect had left the area. 9 a.m. Caller requested an officer speak to an individual who was camping on property that they had no permission to camp on. 11:25 a.m. Caller reported their vehicle had been damaged by somebody. An officer is currently investigating this incident. 9:57 a.m. Caller reported their roommate was drunk and making threats. An officer responded to the residence and solved the situation without incident.
JUNE 11, Tuesday:
2:00 a.m. An officer received a report of an attempted robbery by a driver who had offered the victim a ride. 5:47 a.m. Caller requested a welfare check on a resident in Cordova. The officer responded to the residence and determined everything was OK.
JUNE 12, Wednesday:
2:08 a.m. CCMC requested an ambulance to transport a patient to the 13-mile airport. 9:07 a.m. Caller requested an officer to trespass an individual from their residence. An officer responded and conducted the trespass. 7:07 p.m. Caller requested an officer to trespass an individual from their residence. An officer responded and conducted the trespass.
JUNE 13, Thursday:
8:51 a.m. CCMC requested an ambulance to transport a patient to the 13-mile airport. 5:08 p.m. Caller reported their vehicle had been hit by another vehicle on 1st St. An officer is currently investigating the complaint.
DMV HOURS: From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday unless otherwise posted. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
