Hi, my name is Grace Collins and I wrote this poem in support of the Marine Highway System. I’ve lived here my whole life and the ferry service is very important to me and our community.
Sun, fresh breeze, vacation,
plane tickets, cost, frustration.
Costco, Fred Meyers, endless aisles
rain, terrain, Cordova lifestyles.
Ferry! Joy, cheap travel,

or else ghost town may unravel.
Sports trips, State fun, great!
Oh wait, no money, no ferry, no State.
Tourist, income, fine and good,
no money, no roads, no neighborhood.
Please, keep the ferry.
Or economy will bury.
