Malcolm passed peacefully May 3, 2019 with his family by his side in Everett, WA. He had encountered complications while battling cancer. Mac was a longtime resident of Cordova until 2001 when he and his wife Rotha moved to Whidbey Island, Washington. Mac was a fisherman and a city of Cordova employee. He served in many different positions, but his main job was heading the water and sewer department. He and his wife also owned and operated MacMaster’s Garden Supply. He enjoyed building things, his yard work, and good conversation.
Malcolm is survived by his daughter Nina Alber, her husband Louie and their children Cassidy, Alannah (Rasar), London, Marina and great grandchildren Leah and Bodee Rasar; son Jerrett MacMaster, his wife Heather and their children Melena, Tony, Luke, Blake Avery, Rotha and great-grandson Oakley. Malcolm grew up on the East Coast and was from a very large family. He has three surviving brothers, a sister, and many, many nieces and nephews who all loved him very much. Mac had a good life and a great smile. He will be deeply missed.
