Law & Order: Sept. 13-18

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between Sept. 13-18. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, Sept. 13:
Nothing to report.  

Saturday, Sept. 14:
8:57 a.m. Caller reported vandalism at Nirvana Park. Officer responded, investigating the situation.  

Sunday, Sept 15:
Nothing to report.   

Monday, Sept. 16:
12:21 p.m. Caller reported a dog bite that had happened. Officer responded speaking with all parties involved.   

Tuesday, Sept. 17:
5:48 p.m. Caller reported a fight happening on Second Street. Officer responded unable to locate anyone in the area.

Wednesday, Sept. 18:
7:01 a.m. Caller reported a boat had come loose from its slip in the Old Harbor. The Harbor Master was advised of the situation and they responded. 4:00 p.m. Caller reported she was being harassed and threatened. Officer responded investigating the situation.  

Thursday, Sept. 19:
8:18 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check on an individual stumbling on Second Street. Officer responded transporting the individual to their residence.  

Friday, Sept. 20:
8:18 p.m. Caller reported an intoxicated male stumbling on Second Street. Officer responded assisting the individual.

Saturday, Sept. 21:
Nothing to report.

Sunday, Sept. 22:
Nothing to report.

Monday, Sept. 23:
Nothing to report.

Tuesday, Sept. 24:
10:43 a.m. Caller reported he was being harassed by an individual. Officer investigated the situation. 8:31 p.m. Caller requested an officer to a business because a customer had punched through a door. Officer responded investigating the situation.

Wednesday, Sept. 25:
2:48 a.m. Caller reported a bear had torn through their shed where they keep their food. Officer responded finding the bear had left when he arrived.

Thursday, Sept. 26:
Nothing to report.   

DMV Hours

From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. DMV is located at 602 Railroad Ave. Payments accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
