Gift shoppers looking for a shortcut can bid on pre-packed holiday baskets offered by Cordova Family Resource Center. The baskets will be auctioned off Saturday, Nov. 30 at CFRC’s annual Holiday Gifts on the Go event.

CFRC employees worked off and on for a week to arrange the roughly 100 baskets, each of which contains a unique assortment of items geared toward children, adults or pets. The funds raised at the auction will be used to help match grant money for future projects, or to cover miscellaneous project expenses ineligible for grant funding.

“If there’s a gap in the community, we try to fill that gap,” said CFRC Executive Director Nicole Songer. “We appreciate all of the community’s support and donations. We try to make the best use of their funds, and we try to do things efficiently.”

The Holiday Gifts on the Go auction will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Mt. Eccles Elementary School cafeteria. Roughly 25 baskets, selected at random, will be available for immediate purchase. This will be the third year CFRC has held the event.
