Law & Order: Nov. 22-28

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between Nov. 22-28. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.


Friday, Nov. 22:
10:45 a.m. Caller reported an incident of child abuse. The appropriate parties were notified.

Saturday, Nov. 23:
Caller reported their son had been assaulted by his roommate. An officer responded and arrested Daniel Jeppson, age 35 of Cordova Alaska, for Assault.

Sunday, Nov. 24:
Nothing to report.

Monday, Nov. 25:
Nothing to report.

Tuesday, Nov. 26:
12:08 a.m. Caller had a noise complaint and reported a loud party was preventing her from sleeping. An officer responded and got the individuals to turn the music down.

Wednesday, Nov. 27:
3:08 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle had gone into the trees by the Red Dragon church. An officer responded and found that the vehicle had already left.

Thursday, Nov. 28:
Nothing to report.

DMV hours

From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. The DMV is located at 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
