Law & Order: Sept. 29–Dec. 11

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between Sept. 29-Dec. 11. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.


Friday, Nov. 29
1:13 p.m. An ambulance was requested for a medical transport to the airport. The ambulance responded and conducted the transport.

Saturday, Nov. 30
1:01 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance.  An ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital.

Sunday, Dec. 1
10:18 a.m. Caller reported a verbal altercation on Lake Avenue between a pedestrian and a driver. An officer was able to make contact with all parties involved and settled the dispute.

Monday, Dec. 2
Nothing to report.

Tuesday, Dec. 3
12:42 a.m. An ambulance was requested for a medical transport to the airport. The ambulance responded and conducted the transport.

Wednesday, Dec. 4
9:08 p.m. Caller reported her phone had been stolen. The situation is being investigated by our officers.

Thursday, Dec. 5
8:04 a.m. Caller reported that they had hit a dog with their vehicle on the Copper River Highway. Alaska State Troopers responded to the scene and the driver was uninjured and the dog was alive and with its owner. 9:58 a.m. Caller reported they had a broken-down vessel that appeared to have had water poured into its oil. The incident is documented, and no further action will be taken until more information comes forward.

Friday, Dec. 6
11:00 p.m. Caller reported a strong diesel smell by his trailer. An Officer responded and located a leak in fuel tank. A fire officer was dispatched, and the hole was plugged.

Saturday, Dec. 7
2:37 p.m. Caller reported a sheen flowing into a drain by the post office parking lot. A fire officer responded and was unable to locate the source.

Sunday, Dec. 8
Nothing to report.

Monday, Dec. 9
Nothing to report.

Tuesday, Dec. 10
5:30 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance for a medical transport.  The ambulance responded and provided transport for the patient.

Wednesday, Dec. 11
Nothing to report.
