SuValley edged Cordova in a pair of conference games at SuValley on Jan. 6-7.
The Lady Wolverine trailed by only three in the fourth quarter the first night, before falling 37-31. Cali Sjostedt led Cordova with 17 points. Jacey Pallas added 9, and Inga Arvidson had 5.
SuValley prevailed 49-36 in the rematch.
Sjostedt once again had 17 points; Gwethalyn Jacob added 7, Arvidson and Pallas had 4 apiece, with Amee Hamburger and Kiley Burton each adding 2.
Prior to the SuValley matchup, Cordova opened the season with a pair of games against the 4A Palmer JV’s on Jan. 3-4.
The Moose topped CHS 52-11 and 45-16. Arvidson was leading scorer for Cordova in the first game, with 7 points, while Sjostedt added 4. Jacob led CHS in the second game with 8 points, Sjostedt and Burton each had 3, and Arvidson added 2.
