BBNC names leaders of seafood investments firm

Bristol Bay Native Corp. has named seafood industry veteran Amy Humphreys as president and chief executive officer and BBNC board member Everette Anderson as senior vice president of Bristol Bay Seafood Investments, LLC.

The firm is the regional Alaska Native corporation’s newest investment in the seafood industry, in which many BBNC shareholders are employed.

BBNC acquired Blue North Fisheries and Clipper Seafoods in September 2019 and organized the two companies under the banner of Bristol Bay Alaska Seafoods LLC. As part of the transaction, BBNC also created Bristol Bay Seafood Investments, LLC, to serve as a holding company for Bristol Bay Alaska Seafoods LLC and any future seafood investments.

Humphrey has an extensive background in seafood and food manufacturing and distribution industries. She served as both an executive and a board member of American Seafoods and is a former president and chief executive officer of Icicle Seafoods, a diversified seafood processor with operations throughout Alaska.

Anderson, a BBNC board member since 2013, will step down from that post to take on the new role. He has decades of experience in the seafood and rural energy industries most recently as senior commercial manager at the Marine Stewardship Council.

Former Clipper Seafoods President David Little and Michael and Patrick Burns of Blue North Fisheries will continue to manage operations of Bristol Bay Alaska Seafoods.
