Law & Order: Feb. 7-20

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between Feb. 7-20. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, Feb. 7
12:08 p.m. Caller reported somebody was taking pictures of their house and they felt uncomfortable. An officer is investigating this circumstance. 6:10 p.m. Caller reported an assault that had occurred. An officer investigated the incident and determined that no crime had been committed.

Saturday, Feb. 8
10:17 a.m. Caller requested a welfare check on somebody who may need medical attention. An officer responded and determined that everything was OK.

Sunday, Feb. 9
Nothing to report.

Monday, Feb. 10
Nothing to report.

Tuesday, Feb. 11
11:01 p.m. CCMC requested an ambulance for a medical transport to the 13-mile airport. The ambulance responded and provided transport.

Wednesday, Feb. 12
12 a.m. CCMC requested an ambulance for a medical transport to the 13-mile airport. The ambulance responded and provided transport. 9:36 a.m. Caller reported their vehicle had been spray-painted. An officer responded to the scene and is investigating. 10:33 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check on a neighbor. An officer responded and determined that everything was okay. 10:45 p.m. Complainant came to the station to report that somebody had stolen important company documents. An officer is currently investigating this circumstance.

Thursday, Feb. 13
Nothing to report.

Friday, Feb. 14
Nothing to report.

Saturday, Feb. 15
11:07 a.m. Caller reported they had received threats via a text message. An officer conducted a welfare check and is currently investigating this incident. 11:52 a.m. Caller reported that they had heard a gunshot. An officer responded to the area but found nobody in the area.

Sunday, Feb. 16
12:38 a.m. An officer started an investigation for a broken door.

Monday, Feb. 17
1:03 a.m. An officer secured a building that was supposed to be unoccupied. 

Tuesday, Feb. 18
6:50 a.m. Caller reported a man was yelling at somebody on First St. but couldn’t see anybody he was yelling at. An officer responded and was able to locate the suspect. 5:38 p.m. Caller reported a potential domestic violence situation between a husband and wife. An officer responded to the scene and determined no crime had been committed.

Wednesday, Feb. 19
Nothing to report.

Thursday, Feb. 20
5:07 a.m. Caller reported an alarm going off in the new harbor. Dispatch contacted the harbor master’s officer who responded to the alarm.

Tuesday – Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted. DMV is located at 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
