Law & Order: April 10-16

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between 4-10-20 thru 4-16-20 Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

APRIL 10, Friday:

5:58 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance.  An ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital. 10:34 a.m. CCMC requested an ambulance for a medical transport to the 13-mile airport. 10:47 a.m. CCMC requested an ambulance for a medical transport to the 13-mile airport. 5:24 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance.  An ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital.  5:24 p.m. Caller reported they were being harassed by an individual.  An officer contacted the victim and took a report on the incident.

APRIL 11, Saturday:

9:29 a.m. The U.S.C.G. reported an individual on a vessel was in need of medical attention.  An ambulance and a fire engine met the vessel at the harbor and transported the patient to the hospital. 10:17 a.m.  Caller reported hearing a loud thump from their neighbor’s house.  They are concerned their neighbor may have fallen.  An officer responded and determined that everything was ok. 3:30 p.m. Caller reported a fight had occurred on First St. and the 2 individuals involved had dispersed.  An officer took a report from the complainant and is currently investigating this incident.

APRIL 12, Sunday:

3:54 p.m. Caller reported they had been bitten by a dog while riding their bike. An officer responded and cited the owner of the animal.

APRIL 13, Monday:

10:26 a.m. The Alaska State Troopers gave information to the Cordova Police Department about a possible Sexual Assault.  An officer is currently investigating the incident.

APRIL 14, Tuesday:

12:43 a.m. Caller reported a possible hazardous material leaking into the water on Power Creek Road.  Fire personnel responded to the area but were unable to locate the reported leak.

APRIL 15, Wednesday: 

Nothing to report.

APRIL 16, Thursday: 

Nothing to report.

DMV HOURS:

From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday–Thursday unless otherwise posted. DMV has moved to 602 Railroad Ave. Payments now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
