UA accepting applications for fall semester

University of Alaska officials have begun open registration for the fall 2020 semester, leaving decisions on in-person and alternative delivery of courses to be made closer to the start of the semester in August.

A decision about the specific blend of distance-delivered and in-person courses will depend on the status of the novel coronavirus pandemic in Alaska at that time, UA officials said.

Early registration for current students at the Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau campuses began earlier this month and the university is now working on innovative ways to communicate with new and returning students, including virtual campus tours new financial aid packages and incentive for those who have taken college courses, but have not yet earned a degree.
