Edgmon to address AFN in Anchorage

Alaska Speaker of the House Bryce Edgmon, I-Dillingham, will be the keynote speaker at the 54th annual Alaska Federation of Natives convention at the Dena’ina Center in Anchorage, set for Oct. 15-17.

Edgmon, a former state community development quota manager, and chief operating officer of the Bristol Bay Economic Development Corp., is the first Alaska Native to serve as Alaska Speaker of the House. He is currently serving his second time.

Edgmon is also the longtime board chairman of Choggiung Ltd., a village corporation established under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, and has fished commercially for salmon and herring

A graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage with a degree in finance, Edgmon, his wife, Melody and their two children live in Dillingham.
