Officials reported Cordova’s 11th case of the novel coronavirus Thursday, July 23. The coronavirus-positive individual, who is not a Cordova resident, was identified during screening, said Dr. Hannah Sanders, medical director for Cordova Community Medical Center. The city’s medical team is working to identify people who may have had contact with the newly identified coronavirus-positive individual.

Cordova’s previous 10 cases of the virus have all recovered, as of Monday, July 20. Of those cases, three were Cordova residents and seven were non-residents. The July 23 case is the first case reported in Cordova in almost two weeks.
