Law & Order: July 24-Aug. 6

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police department between July 24-Aug. 6. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, July 24
3:51 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital.

Saturday, July 25
Nothing to report.

Sunday, July 26
3:48 a.m. Caller reported screaming coming from First Street coming from a group of people who appeared to be intoxicated. Two officers responded and spoke to all parties involved. 6:03 a.m. Caller reported hearing a loud bang outside and seeing a dented truck driving away from hitting a parked vehicle. An officer responded and is currently investigating this circumstance. 5 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital.

Monday, July 27
10:09 p.m. Caller reported a man on a four-wheeler was reckless driving. An officer responded and spoke with the complainant and is currently investigating the circumstance.

Tuesday, July 28
Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital.

Thursday, July 30
11:11 a.m. Caller reported an oil spill. Fire officers from the CVFD responded to the scene. 1:44 p.m. The United States Coast Guard requested an ambulance to transport individuals on board a helicopter to the hospital. An ambulance responded and the patients were transferred to the hospital via the ambulance. 11:27 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital.

Friday, July 31
7:28 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle in a ditch with no occupants inside. An officer responded to the scene and is currently investigating the accident.

Saturday, Aug. 1
7:05 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital. 9:13 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital. 11:40 p.m. CCMC requested an ambulance for a medical transport to the 13-mile airport. The ambulance responded and provided transport.

Sunday, Aug. 2
6:36 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital.

Monday, Aug. 3
10:50 a.m. Caller reported smelling propane. A fire department officer responded to the reported location and found that people in the area were changing a hose on a propane tank. No emergency was present.

Tuesday, Aug. 4
3:33 p.m. CCMC requested an ambulance for a medical transport to the 13-mile airport. An ambulance responded and provided transport.

Wednesday, Aug. 5
Nothing to report.

Thursday, Aug. 6
8:42 a.m. Caller requested a welfare check. Two officers responded to the residence and determined that everybody was safe. 4:10 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital.

DMV hours
From 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday unless otherwise posted. DMV is located at 602 Railroad Ave. Payments are now accepted for dog licenses, ATV/snow machine registrations and citations.
