The Art of the Vintage Salmon Label
Cordova Historical Society presents “The Art of the Vintage Salmon Label”, an art installation at the Copper River Gallery. The metal wall art and hand knit gansey salmon exhibit can be viewed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 26 at the gallery within the Cordova Museum.

Virtual summit
The 4th Annual Peer Power Self Advocacy Summit is intended for Alaskan’s with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) who are 18 years of age or older. The summit will take place online at 4 p.m. daily, Monday, Sept. 21 through Friday, Sept 25. The event is free, but you must register to receive Zoom links. Benefit concert
Singing For SeaLife: A LiveStream Benefit Concert for the Alaska SeaLife Center will take place from 5:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 with Facebook Live at facebook.com/alaskasealifecenter. To donate to the center, visit alaskasealife.org/savethecenter and ConocoPhillips will match dollar-for-dollar to help keep the center afloat.

Curbside book delivery
The Cordova Public Library offers curbside delivery from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday outside the library by the drop box near the rear door. Go to cordovalibrary.org to find their catalog and email your book requests to curbsidedelivery@cordovalibrary.org or call 907-424-6667 and leave a voice message. Staff will bag your items and give you a call to schedule a pickup time. Items can be returned in the drop box.

Free online books
The Cordova Public Library has a huge variety of books and audio books available in digital format through the Alaska Digital Library which can be accessed on any electronic device. Borrow, read & return books in digital format for free. Go to adl.overdrive.com and click “Sign in”. Select Cordova Public Library from drop-down list and enter your library card number. Community COVID-19 update
The city of Cordova COVID-19 Public Information Team will be hosting a new livestreamed Community Update at 4 p.m. every Tuesday. The broadcast featuring reports and guest commentary from community and business partners, industry and medical professionals and response collaborators will be streamed live to the city’s YouTube channel and will be shared on Facebook via Facebook.com/groups/CordovaPrepared.
