What joy it brings to see children walking to school, backpacks on, with young siblings in tow. To see moms, dads and grandparents dropping off kids at the front door of our beloved schools. To see school buses out at Six-Mile and down Whitshed Road picking up and dropping off students, and to see students returning for their final high school years.

During these challenging COVID days it is a breath of fresh air to see some form of normality. Thank you, superintendent Alex Russin and the Cordova School District Board for your forward-thinking allowing students to return to in-person learning.

Thank you to the teachers and support staff for your bold move to step back into the classroom with our kids. Thank you, cafeteria staff for feeding our students during these struggling times, and thank you, custodial staff for your unwavering commitment to keeping our school facilities safe for our community. The social, emotional and academic wellbeing of our students thank you.
