34th virus case is Cordova resident

Cordova reported its 34th case of the novel coronavirus Friday, Oct. 16. The newly identified coronavirus-positive individual is a Cordova resident.

Of the 34 cases reported so far, 21 have been Cordova residents and 13 have been non-residents. As of Oct. 16, 21 of those cases have recovered. There have been no local coronavirus cases requiring hospitalization.

Public health officials encouraged community members to continue observing face-covering and social-distancing rules, even if these precautions are, at times, inconvenient or frustrating.
