Photos of salmon with a writeup of what salmon means to your community could win you a $500 grand prize from the North Pacific Anadromous Fish Commission’s International Year of the Salmon photo challenge.
The deadline for submissions has been extended to Nov. 30.
The photo and write-up of about one paragraph from the winning contestant will also be featured on the NPAFC’s website to spread the word about this iconic fish.
The contest is open to photographers of all skill levels. Entries must not have been previously published. A maximum of five images will be accepted per entrant.
