Koniag Inc. has acquired Big G Electric & Engineering, of Soldotna, to work with Dowland-Bach and Glacier Services in its energy and water business sector.
Big G is an established electrical services firm with clients from the Kenai Peninsula to the North Slope. Koniag officials said the acquisition presents more opportunities for business in Alaska, as well as in North Dakota, Texas, Colorado and Wyoming, where Big G has licensing.
Big G owner Bruce Gabriel will stay on as president of the firm and be part of the regional Alaska Native corporation’s leadership team.
