Section 12005 CARES Act fisheries assistance funding is available to seafood processors, commercial harvesters, sport charter, subsistence and aquaculture entities. Federal officials have allocated a total of $300 million for this program, of which Alaska is to receive $50 million.

Regulations call for all payments to be made by Sept. 30, 2021.

Once the plan is finalized participants may apply for assistance.
