Secret Santa
The 7th Annual Cordova Secret Santa registration is open until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15. Community members must be 18 and older, and physically present in Cordova for at least 20 days of December. For full information and to sign up for local event, join facebook.com/groups/CordovaSecretSanta.

Musical Instruments and Curriculum
Cordova 4H has musical instruments to loan and Dancing with the Spirit, our village music program, has a new virtual music curriculum. Go to dancingwiththespirit.org to download Volume 1 which includes 27 song videos, 29 fiddle and tuning videos, song words, colored chords, and fiddle tabs. Free local COVID testing
Cordovan’s can receive a free COVID test Monday-Saturday at either CCMC or Ilanka. CCMC tests are 9 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Ilanka drive or walk-up tests are 2 to 3 p.m. Monday and Fridays plus noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Be sure to bring insurance paperwork as the clinics can get reimbursed and help keep tests free.
Flu shots
Flu shots are available at both local clinics. Call CCMC at 907-424-8200 and ICHC at 907-424-3622 to schedule an appointment.
Quarantine Dreams
Calling all artists 18 years and up working in all mediums: The Cordova Museum is looking for artwork submissions for an upcoming art show “Quarantine Dreams”. No limit on submissions per person as long as they were created in the time of COVID (2020). Deadline is Sunday, Nov. 22. Email paula@cordovalibrary.org or call 907-424-6665 for more info.
Bob Ross month
November is “Have a Happy Little” Bob Ross month at the Cordova Museum. Happenings include a Bob Ross quilt display from Cherrywood Fabrics, a “Happy Little” Bob Ross paint-along with Copper River Canvas, door prizes, an original Bob Ross-inspired dance performance by Current Rhythms and an art exhibit by local artists. TEEN/YA Art

Cordova Community Medical Center’s Sound Alternatives clinic offers a free online support group for friends and family of individuals with addiction. Meetings of the Help & Hope support group will be facilitated by licensed clinical social worker Ruby Vincent. The group will meet from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays via Zoom.
