Cordova reported its 38th case of the novel coronavirus Thursday, Nov. 12. The newly identified coronavirus-positive individual was admitted to hospital for non-coronavirus-related end-of-life care, where the virus was discovered during screening, officials said.

City Manager Helen Howarth said she remains confident in the hospital’s protective protocols.

Of the 38 local virus cases reported so far, 35 are presumed recovered. Twenty-five cases have been Cordova residents and 13 have been non-residents. More information can be found at the city of Cordova’s online COVID-19 dashboard.
