CCMC Ornament Auction
The Cordova Community Medical Center’s Ornament Auction is happening now. Ornaments are hung in the lobby windows and you can place your bid on Facebook at facebook.com/Hospital-Auxiliary-Cordova-102063431730799. The auction ends at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10. Holiday Bazaar
This year’s Holiday Bazaar will take place in smaller groups at the Cordova Center each weekend leading up to Christmas. Masks will be required and a maximum of 35 shoppers will be allowed in the Solarium at any given time to allow everyone the space they need to shop safely. Hometown Holiday Kick-off and Tree Lighting
The Cordova Chamber of Commerce hosts Cordova’s Holiday Kick-off and tree lighting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4. The event will be live streamed from the Cordova Center. Visit the Chamber online at cordovachamber.com for details.
Quarantine Dreams

Christian Center Annual Bazaar
The Christian Center’s annual bazaar will be Friday, Dec. 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. downstairs at the Baptist Church. Only 15 people will be allowed in at a time. Masks retired and please stay in your bubble and social distance.
Christmas Bird Count
Cordova’s COVID-Correct Christmas Bird Count (CCCCBC) will take place on Saturday, Dec. 19 during daylight hours. Everyone who participates will be assigned a route and route leader. Free local COVID testing
Cordova residents can receive a free COVID test Monday-Saturday at either the Cordova Community Medical Center or the Ilanka Community Health Center. CCMC offers tests 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the ambulance bay. Call 907-424-8000 with questions. ICHC offers drive-through and walk-up testing 2-3 p.m. on Monday and Friday and noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday downstairs across from St. George’s Episcopal Church. Call 907-424-3622 to pre-register. Be sure to bring insurance paperwork so clinics can get reimbursed and help keep tests free.
Musical Instruments and Curriculum
Cordova 4H has musical instruments to loan and Dancing with the Spirit, our village music program, has a new virtual music curriculum. Go to dancingwiththespirit.org to download Volume 1 which includes 27 song videos, 29 fiddle and tuning videos, song words, colored chords, and fiddle tabs. TEEN/YA Art
Ages 13 and up are welcome to participate in teen and young adult art from 6-8 p.m. every Wednesday in the Education Room at the Cordova Center. Email paula@cordovalibrary.org if you wish to attend. Drop-ins welcome.
Salvation Army Food Pantry
The Salvation Army continues to serve the community of Cordova through its Service Extension Ministry. A food pantry is located at 514 1st St. If you need food assistance and pantry is not open, please call Steve at 907-429-6262.

Native Village of Eyak hosts story time each week at 4 p.m. Thursdays via Zoom. Cordova Community Medical Center’s Sound Alternatives clinic offers a free online support group for friends and family of individuals with addiction. Meetings of the Help & Hope support group will be facilitated by licensed clinical social worker Ruby Vincent. The group will meet from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays via Zoom. Anyone wishing to join can obtain login info by calling 907-424-8300.
AA Group Meeting

Ilanka Community Wellness & Recovery Support Circle meetings are 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays at the Masonic Lodge. Cordova Public Library is open by appointment and curbside delivery. Space is limited to allow proper social distancing and cleaning procedures.
