Cordova is expected to experience a gap in ferry service from Jan. 4–March 28, Alaska Marine Highway System officials said. Sailings into Cordova during the coming months are currently more heavily booked than sailings out of Cordova, Ferry Terminal Agent Tammy Johnson said.

A draft AMHS operating plan shows a gap in ferry service throughout Prince William Sound from Jan. 7–March 18, as the M/V Kennicott is being overhauled. The M/V Aurora is also scheduled to begin providing service to Prince William Sound on April 15. Implementation of the schedule shown in the draft operating plan is dependent on funding from the Alaska Legislature and on revenue from the ferry system.
