NPFMC meets virtually February 5-12

The documents include those for Bering Sea/Aleutian Island Pacific cod pot catcher processor LLP endorsements and standardized bycatch reporting methodology, both set for final action at the federal fisheries meeting.

Other major issues on the teleconference agenda include an initial review on small sablefish release, crab prohibited species catch limit reductions and a report on Bering Sea/Aleutian Islands and Norton Sound red king crab specifications.

The meeting agenda is posted online.

Written comments are welcome for each agenda item via the Internet by Jan. 29.

The council and its advisory panel will also take oral testimony during the meeting.  Once the meeting begins individuals may click on the “sign-up” link for each meeting next to specific agenda items.
