Law & Order: Feb. 5-18

The following incidents were reported to the Cordova Police Department between Feb. 5-18. Any charges reported in these press releases are merely accusations and the defendant and/or defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday, Feb. 5
2:03 a.m. Two individuals came to the station looking for directions. The officer provided transport to the individuals to their destination. 11:52 a.m. An officer went to the courthouse to participate in a court hearing. 7:36 p.m. An officer stopped to assist a motorist at 5.5 mile.

Saturday, Feb. 6
An officer conducted an after-hours security check at the 13-mile airport. 12:39 p.m Two officers participated in the Iceworm parade. 3:52 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance. An officer and an ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital. 11:13 p.m. Caller reported a driver running over their trash can and nearly hitting their house. An officer responded to the area but was unable to locate any vehicles in the area.

Sunday, Feb. 7
11:48 a.m. An officer provided security at the 13-mile airport. 4:16 a.m. An officer responded to a residence for follow up on a previous incident.

Monday, Feb. 8
10:30 a.m. An individual contacted dispatch to report a lost or stolen item. 11:42 a.m. An officer provided security at the 13-mile airport. 1:32 p.m. An officer went to the court for administrative duties. 2:49 p.m. An officer went to the court for administrative duties.

Tuesday, Feb. 9
12:23 p.m. Caller reported a dispute. An officer responded and maintained peace between the two parties until the incident was resolved. An officer conducted an after-hours security check at the 13-mile airport.

Wednesday, Feb. 10
12:06 p.m. An officer provided security at the 13-mile airport. 12:59 p.m. Caller requested a welfare check on an individual. An officer responded to the residence and determined that everything was OK. 2:15 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle accident. An officer responded to the scene to investigate. 8:34 p.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital.

Thursday, Feb. 11
10:21 a.m. An officer responded to Mt. Eccles Elementary School for a follow up. 1:07 p.m. An officer provided security at the 13-mile airport. 15:09 p.m. An officer responded to a residence to follow up on a current investigation. 15:21 p.m. An officer responded to a residence to follow up on a current investigation.

Friday, Feb. 12
9:18 a.m. Caller reported a previous assault. An officer is currently investigating this report. 1:07 p.m. An officer provided security for the 13-mile airport. 3:09 p.m. An officer went to a residence for follow up. 3:21 p.m. An officer went to a residence for follow up.

Saturday, Feb. 13
Nothing to report.

Sunday, Feb. 14
2:06 p.m. Caller reported a house fire. The Cordova Volunteer Fire Department and an officer responded to the scene.

Monday, Feb. 15
12:04 a.m. Dispatch received a 911 call that was terminated early. An officer responded to the residence reported and found everything to be OK. 2:03 a.m. Caller reported someone had come to their door and refused to leave. An officer responded and trespassed the individual from the caller’s home. 12:54 p.m. An officer provided security for the 13-mile. 2:42 p.m. An officer provided security for the 13-mile airport. 8:52 p.m. An officer spotted a loose dog walking down the street. The officer attempted to apprehend the dog but was unsuccessful. 9:06 p.m. An officer conducted a security check at a local business. 11:50 p.m. Caller reported a four-wheeler driving recklessly at the Cordova Municipal Airport. An officer responded and was unable to find any four-wheelers in the area.

Tuesday, Feb. 16
An officer conducted an after-hours security check at the 13-mile airport. 1:05 p.m. An officer provided security for the 13-mile airport. 2:58 p.m. An officer responded to a residence for follow up on a current case. 11:36 p.m. An officer conducted a security check at a local business.

Wednesday, Feb. 17
12:01 a.m. An officer conducted a security check at a local business. 10:17 a.m. CCMC requested an ambulance for a medical transport to the 13-mile airport. 12:32 p.m. An officer provided security at the 13-mile airport. 3:10 p.m. An officer provided security for the 13-mile airport. 6:02 p.m. Two officers responded to residence to follow up on a prior incident. 7:52 p.m. An officer conducted a security check at a local business.

Thursday, Feb. 18
4:23 a.m. Caller reported that their house was broken into and they were assaulted. An officer responded to the scene and investigated the incident. 5:07 a.m. An officer provided transportation for an individual involved in a current case. 6:10 a.m. An officer responded to a residence for follow up. 6:14 a.m. An officer responded to a residence for follow up. 6:39 a.m. Caller requested an ambulance. The ambulance responded and provided assistance. 10:23 a.m. An officer went to the Cordova Court for administrative purposes. 11:54 p.m. An officer went to a residence to follow up on a current case. 12:01 p.m. An officer arrested Christon Brockert, age 27, of Cordova, Alaska, on a warrant issued for two counts of burglary in the first degree, one count of assault in the third degree, and one count of assault in the fourth degree. 2:17 p.m. An officer provided security for the 13-mile airport. 3:25 p.m. An officer attended a court arraignment.
