Cordova reports 1 non-resident virus case

Cordova reported one new, non-resident, case of the novel coronavirus Wednesday, March 17.

Of the 123 local cases identified so far, 105 have been Cordova residents and 18 have been non-residents. Of those cases, three are believed to be currently active. Three cases have required hospitalization, according to data published by Ilanka Community Health Center. One Cordova resident who tested positive for the novel coronavirus died Nov. 18.

As of Monday, March 15, 1,055 people in Cordova have received the first of two coronavirus vaccine shots, and 689 have received both shots, according to data published by the city.
