Hopper will retire from CGS in 2022

Chugach Alaska Corp. will be recruiting for a new president for its subsidiary Chugach Government Solutions in the coming months, in advance of the planned retirement of longtime top executive Tim “Hoops” Hopper on Jan. 1, 2022.

The individual chosen is to be appointed on Oct. 1. Hopper will remain with Chugach’s federal government contracting arm through the end of the year to assist with the transition.

Chugach Alaska officials said that Hopper has been a key driver for the growth and maturation of CGS for nearly two decades. His leadership helped expand CGS’s presence as a competitor in the federal government contracting realm.

CGS is a holding company of the Alaska Native regional corporation, serving federal government customers through 11 subsidiaries in a number of locations in the Lower 48.
