Updates on Valdez Marine Terminal set for May 6-7 meeting

Several reports regarding environmental safety systems in place at the Valdez Marine Terminal are on the agenda for the May 6-7 virtual meeting of the Prince William Sound Regional Citizens Advisory Council.

Reports slated for May 6 include a review of cathodic protection systems and a review of crude oil storage tank maintenance, as well as a report on rescue tugboat best available technology assessment.

Topics to be reviewed May 7 include sampling results of Port of Valdez mussel transcriptomics monitoring.

The tentative schedule for the May 6 session runs from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. On May 7, the meeting is scheduled from 8:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m. The meeting is open to the public through video and teleconference systems, except for executive sessions. Public comments are scheduled to be taken on May 6 starting at 9 a.m. Those wishing to speak during public comments can sign up ahead of time by emailing Jennifer Fleming and fleming@pwsrcac.org.
