Nominations sought for EVOSTC public advisory committee

Nominations are being sought until June 14 for seven positions on the public advisory committee for the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council.

The committee advises the trustee council on decisions related to the planning, evaluation, funds allocation and conduct of injury assessment and restoration activities related to the March 1989 oil spill in Prince William Sound.

The seven positions will represent aquaculture/mariculture, commercial fishing, tourism, recreation, Native land ownership, subsistence and public-at-large interests.

Committee members are to be selected and appointed by the Interior Secretary to serve a two-year term.
