Charmaine Marie Allen passed on to heaven on April 18, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on July 28,1969 in Cordova, Alaska, she attended Cordova Public Schools and graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a Psychology degree.
Charmaine married Les Allen on April 3, 1993. They had just celebrated their 28-year anniversary. During those 28 years they had three beautiful children – Justin, Brian and Jana.
She and Les loved to watch all the kids’ wrestling competitions and were faithful in following them on road trips. Charmaine loved her family and friends and spending summers in her hometown of Cordova. She loved to plan picnics out the road, a good game of poker, fresh-cut flowers (especially peonies) and making at least one batch of salmonberry jelly a summer. She will be remembered for her passion to find a good tea shoppe for high tea and also sharing her love of children’s books. We will all miss her beauty and presence in our lives.
She is survived by her husband Les, children Justin, Brian and Jana, parents Gary and Carolyn Raymond, sister Cheryl Carroll (Kip) and her nephew and nieces. She was preceded in death by her sister Teresa Allen as well as her paternal and maternal grandparents.
There will be a celebration of life at the Reluctant Fisherman on June 5, 2021 from noon-2 p.m. It will be a potluck so please bring a dish to share along with your stories and memories of Charmaine.
