The Copper River Gallery’s next show, “Alaska WILD,” will feature works by Alaska Society of Nature Photographers, with opening reception from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 9 at the Copper River Gallery. Sound technician training
Cordova Arts is hosting a free training seminar for anyone interested in becoming a sound technician from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, July 16-17. Individuals must attend both days of training and be interested in running the sound equipment at performances and events at the North Star Theater. Mini Cordova 4-H Music Camp
A free mini music camp for Cordova locals with lessons in band, art, and science will take place July 19-23 outdoors at Mt. Eyak Ski Area. Local campers, ages 6-8, will meet from 10 a.m.-noon; ages 9-18 from 2-4 p.m. plus fun activities like the end of camp squirt gun fight. There will be teen activities and adult evening classes. Registration is open at www.cordovamusiccamp.org with an occupancy limit of 30 younger kids and 30 older kids on a first come, first served basis. Vaccinated musicians, artists, adults, and counselors are needed. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer.
Adult ultimate frisbee is at 7 p.m. every Tuesday at the grassy field. Free and open to attend. Just show up.
Bidarki adult volleyball

Fishing web, free of cork and lead line, can be dropped off in the fishing web recycling container at the Cordova City Baler. Lead acid battery recycling is located behind the NVE building on Nicholoff Way. Small batteries can be recycled at the Post Office. Live Gospel Music

Help Cordovans in need by donating your canned goods, non-perishable, and frozen items. The Native Village of Eyak is a food pantry for the Food Bank of Alaska at 110 Nicholoff Way.
