The following Q&A was conducted with Nattilee Kinsman, owner of Studio Red.
Studio Red is a new salon for all Cordovans to enjoy.
What year was the business founded and why did you start or take over the business?
Studio Red opened in February 2021. The timing and space were in alignment for me to share my love and passion for hair, creating an experience for those who sit in my chair to come to relax, release and leave feeling rejuvenated.
How has the business changed over the years?
After 10 years of raising little ones and doing hair on the side, I had the perfect opportunity to take over Shags Hair Studio when April decided to retire. We’ve done a vibrant remodel on the space.
What are some new items or offerings you’re excited about?
I specialize in women, men and children’s haircuts. I am also known for my special conditioning treatments and washing of the scalp and hair.
How does your business impact the community of Cordova?
It’s my intention that every client’s health and wellness is supported through the hair experience provided at Studio Red.
Anything else you’d like to share?
I’m so excited for the work I get to do here and for the opportunity I have to connect with our community. I’m grateful for the continued support I’ve already received. I look forward to meeting new friends and having you in my chair.
A grand opening will take place Saturday, Aug. 21 from noon-2 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 12:30 p.m. There will be a giveaway entry and treats for all attendees.
