Virginia Christina Borodkin was born to Jenny and George Vlasoff on March 18, 1937. She passed peacefully at Providence Medical Center on November 10, 2021. She is preceded in death by her loving husband (John Phillip Borodkin) of 63 years, her mother Jenny Vlasoff, father George Vlasoff, 6 sisters, and 3 of her brothers. She lived a full, happy life, surrounded by family: daughters Debbie Dettinger (husband Max, granddaughter Cherresa) and Rhonda Borodkin; sons John Borodkin Jr., Glenn Borodkin (wife Colleen, granddaughter Jennesa, grandsons Kyle [fiancée Erica Westly], and Jacob); her brother Ken Vlasoff (wife Laurinda); and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia’s religious faith in the Orthodox Church was always recognized and practiced in her everyday life. Along with a fierce love for her family, her kindness and compassion towards others in her community will always be a remembrance to us all. She really didn’t have to say a word, only her radiant smile brought a peaceful feeling to many. Even to those that she’d just met took to her like they’d known her forever.
Forever in our hearts Umma! Our precious memories of you remain tucked deep within! You’ve done your job, fly with the angels, and the love of your life. Your family will continue what you taught us from childhood and throughout our lifetime. Faith, Compassion, and most importantly Love! She will be laid to rest right beside her one true love, her husband John.
