It was an uphill battle for Cordova’s Lady Wolverines at the Valdez Elks Tournament, as they faced larger 3A schools in all three games.

Cordova lost their first game to 3A Valdez on Feb. 10 by a 37-11 final and fell to 3A Houston 41-16 the next day.

Results were not available for their Saturday game.

The Lady Wolverines varsity and JV squads left on Sunday, Feb. 13, for their next games against 2A Glennallen on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 14 and 15.

They will then continue a long road trip to 2A Tok, 2A Effie Kokrine, and 2A Nenana, before returning to Cordova for their last home games of the season on February 23 and 24 against 2A SuValley.

In a span of eleven days, they will play every other team in their conference before returning to Tok for the conference playoffs on March 10-12, 2022.
