The following is a summary of incidences that occurred or were reported to the Cordova Police Department March 21 through March 27, 2022. Defendant(s) are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, March 21:

  • 12:39 p.m. An Officer conducted security surveillance for flights 61 and 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 2:00 p.m. A resident submitted a Citizen Report Form regarding alleged theft.
  • 3:55 p.m. A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.
  • 11:07 p.m. An Officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.

Tuesday, March 22:

  • 8:52 a.m. An Officer attempted to serve court documents. No contact.
  • 8:59 a.m. An Officer attempted to serve court documents. No contact.
  • 10:52 a.m. An Officer attempted to serve court documents. No contact.
  • 11:42 a.m. An Officer served court documents.
  • 11:46 a.m. An Officer served court documents.
  • 12:41 p.m. An Officer conducted security surveillance for flights 61 and 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 1:02 p.m. Dispatch received a report of alleged theft
  • 4:01 p.m. An Officer responded to a Citizen’s request to speak with an Officer.
  • 6:31 p.m. An Officer attempted to serve court documents. No contact.

Wednesday, March 23:

  • 1:34 a.m. An Officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 6:21 a.m. A resident came to the station to report an alleged theft.
  • 8:53 a.m. An Officer conducted security and traffic patrol at the Cordova Jr/Sr High School.
  • 9:07 a.m. A resident came to the station for a pre-employment breath alcohol test.
  • 10:16 a.m. An Officer conducted security and traffic patrol at the Mt. Eccles Elementary School.
  • 10:46 a.m. An Officer issued a Warning to a Motorist on the Copper River Highway.
  • 11:15 a.m. An Officer and the Evidence Custodian destroyed evidence no longer needed.
  • 11:23 a.m. An Officer contacted a Pedestrian on Orca Road regarding control and confinement of dogs.
  • 12:39 p.m. An Officer responded to a Citizen’s request to speak with an Officer.
  • 1:16 p.m. An Officer conducted security surveillance for flight 61 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 1:56 p.m. An Officer testified in Court.
  • 2:43 p.m. An Officer responded to a Citizen’s request to speak with an Officer.
  • 2:57 p.m. Two Officers replaced an alcohol monitoring device.
  • 8:14 p.m. Two Officers replaced an alcohol monitoring device.
  • 11:43 p.m. An Officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.

Thursday, March 24:

  • 9:09 a.m. An Officer conducted security and traffic patrol at the Mt. Eccles Elementary School.
  • 9:18 a.m. An Officer conducted security and traffic patrol at the Cordova Jr/Sr High School.
  • 9:39 a.m. An Officer attempted to serve court documents. No contact.
  • 10:36 a.m. A resident called in a parking complaint.
  • 10:59 a.m. An Officer and the Evidence Custodian destroyed evidence no longer needed. 11:08 a.m. Time of destruction.
  • 12:21 p.m. An Officer served court documents.
  • 12:27 p.m. An Officer and the Emergency Medical Services team responded to a 911 call at the Alaska Commercial Company on Nicholoff Way.  The patient was transported to Cordova Community Medical Center.
  • 12:51 p.m. An Officer served court documents.
  • 2:57 p.m. An Officer conducted security surveillance for flight 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 4:59 p.m. A resident came to the station for a breath alcohol test.

Friday, March 25:

  • 12:03 a.m. An Officer went out on general patrol.
  • 8:37 a.m. An Officer conducted security and traffic patrol at the Mt. Eccles Elementary School.
  • 8:48 a.m. An Officer conducted security and traffic patrol at the Cordova Jr/Sr High School.
  • 10:05 a.m. Two residents came to the station for random breath alcohol tests.
  • 11:49 a.m. An Officer issued a Warning to a Motorist on Birch Street and Lake Avenue.
  • 12:50 p.m. A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.
  • 2:29 p.m. An Officer conducted security surveillance for flight 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 7:49 p.m. An Officer responded to a 911 report of a fight in progress on Main Street. Both parties agreed to separate and declined medical assistance.

Saturday, March 26:

  • 2:10 a.m. An Officer went out on general patrol.     
  • 10:20 a.m. Two Officers responded to a Welfare Check request. The individual was located, and a responsible party reported to the Officers the individual was “okay.”
  • 12:07 p.m. An Officer served court documents.
  • 12:50 p.m. An Officer conducted security surveillance for flight 61 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 2:07 p.m. An Officer conducted follow-up on an assault case.
  • 2:56 p.m. An Officer conducted security surveillance for flight 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 3:48 p.m. An Officer responded to a citizen’s request for a vehicle lockout kit.

Sunday, March 27:

  • 12:33 p.m. An Officer conducted security surveillance for flights 61 and 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
