The following is a summary of incidences that occurred or were reported to the Cordova Police Department April 4 through April 10, 2022. Defendant(s) are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Monday, April 4:

  • 10:32 a.m. An officer responded to a citizen’s request to speak with an officer at citizen’s residence.
  • 12:52 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flights 61 and 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 3:30 p.m. An officer responded to a citizen’s request to speak with an officer on the phone.
  • 3:51 p.m. A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.
  • 4:33 p.m. An officer responded to a citizen’s request to speak with an officer on the phone.

Tuesday, April 5:

  • 12:50 a.m. An officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 11:10 a.m. The Emergency Medical Services team responded to a medivac transport call. The patient was transported from Cordova Community Medical Center to the airport.
  • 12:53 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flights 61 and 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 12:53 p.m. Dispatch received a dog complaint on South Second Street.
  • 9:14 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a Motorist spinning “brodies” by the Cordova Jr./Sr. High School.
  • 9:46 p.m. An officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.

Wednesday, April 6:

  • 8:48 a.m. Two officers conducted security and traffic patrol at the Mt. Eccles Elementary School.
  • 9:01 a.m. Two officers conducted security and traffic patrol at the Cordova Jr./Sr. High School.
  • 10:22 a.m. Two officers attended court arraignments.
  • 12:30 p.m. Dispatch received a road conditions complaint. The City Streets Department was contacted.
  • 1:18 p.m. Two officers conducted security surveillance for flight 61 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 2:25 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flight 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 2:49 p.m. A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.
  • 3:57 p.m. Two officers conducted follow-up on a Domestic Violence case.
  • 6:22 p.m. Two officers responded to a report of an alleged impaired motorist.

Thursday, April 7:

  • 12:45 a.m. Two officers conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 8:32 a.m. Two officers conducted security and traffic patrol at the Mt. Eccles Elementary School.
  • 11:41 a.m. Two officers conducted follow-up on a Domestic Violence case.
  • 12:19 p.m. A resident came to the station to speak with an officer. An officer responded.
  • 12:36 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flight 61 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 1:10 p.m. A resident came to the station to be fingerprinted.
  • 5:11 p.m. Dispatch received a report of a commercial alarm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The responsible party was contacted.
  • 10:37 p.m. An officer issued a Warning to a motorist on Second Street and Browning Avenue.

Friday, April 8:

  • 1:14 a.m. An officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 12:29 p.m. Two officers responded to a transport call. The patient was transported from Cordova Community Medical Center to the airport.
  • 2:23 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flight 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 10:32 p.m. An officer conducted a security check at a local establishment.
  • 11:47 p.m. An officer issued a Warning to a motorist on Cannery Row and Copper River Highway.

Saturday, April 9:

  • 2:24 a.m. An officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 12:35 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flights 61 and 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 4:46 p.m. The Emergency Medical Services team responded to a medivac transport call. The patient was transported from Cordova Community Medical Center to the airport.
  • 6:21 p.m. An officer responded to a 911 report of a Missing Person. The officer located the individual and reported to the concerned party, the individual was safe.
  • 6:41 p.m. A resident came to the station requesting assistance retrieving an item left at Bidarki Recreation Center. An officer responded.
  • 10:19 p.m. An officer conducted a security check at the Mt. Eccles Elementary School.
  • 11:03 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a motorist driving without headlights on Copper River Highway. The officer issued a Warning to the motorist.

Sunday, April 10:

  • 12:10 a.m. An officer conducted a security check at the Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 12:01 p.m. An officer conducted security surveillance for flights 61 and 66 at Merle K. Mudhole Smith Airport.
  • 12:59 p.m. An officer responded to a citizen’s request to speak with an officer at a residence.
  • 4:41 p.m. Dispatch received a report of alleged child endangerment.
  • 4:52 p.m. Two officers responded to a citizen’s request for officer assistance to break up a fight in progress. 4:52 p.m. Dispatch received a 911 report of the same. 5:11 p.m. The officers reported the argument was verbal and the parties were separated.
  • 7:34 p.m. The Emergency Medical Services team responded to a medevac transport call. The patient was transported from Cordova Community Medical Center to the airport.
