Alaska Resource Advisory Council meets May 17

Interested members of the public are invited to offer comment during the virtual meeting of the Bureau of Land Management’s Alaska Resource Advisory Council meeting on Tuesday, May 17.

The 13-member Alaska RAC serves in an advisory capacity concerning issues relating to land use planning and the management of the public land resources located within the State of Alaska. Members represent a variety of interests reflective of the agency’s multiple-use mission and Alaska’s diverse population. Members meet to collaborate with each other and make recommendations to the BLM Alaska State Director.

Planned agenda items include updates on conveyances and Public Land Orders, 2022 summer recreation outlook, trapping cabins, trail mapping marking and maintenance, and time for public comments. The agenda and other RAC information, such as previous meeting minutes and presentations, are available on the Alaska RAC webpage: www.blm.gov/Alaska/RAC, under the Meeting Documents tab.
